Chrysler and Jeep Brand Improve by 20% in J.D. Power's 2016 IQS

If you’ve been paying attention to the American automotive market recently, then you’ve certainly noticed both the Jeep brand and Chrysler have stepped up their game with respect to quality and customer satisfaction. In addition to introducing new models and trims, both brands are busy shoring up their quality assurance, and it definitely shows.

Every year J.D. Power conducts an Initial Quality Study to assess vehicle quality, customer satisfaction, and any design flaws or vehicle defects noticed within the first 90 days of ownership. Using the responses of over 80,000 2016 new car owners, J.D. Power has assembled its 2016 Initial Quality Study scores, and both Chrysler and the Jeep brand have improved their respective scores by 20 percent, making them the Most Improved Brands of 2016. Chrysler saw an additional distinction, with the Chrysler Town and Country snagging the top spot in its segment for Minivans.

“Our commitment to quality is starting to show results as Chrysler and Jeep make strong improvements in initial quality, but there is still much work to do. My colleagues and I are focused on continuing the positive momentum created so far as we look to earn and maintain the trust and loyalty of customers across all our brands.” –Scott Garberding, Head of Quality, FCA – Global
